Comfort + Coping is a 2.5 hour workshop and serves as a wonderful complement to our Intro to Labor + Delivery class, a more traditional birth class or as a stand-alone refresher course. This session will give you the guidance and space to practice what may work best during each stage of labor - with or without an epidural.
Comfort + Coping also provides the ideal space for partners to experiment with hands-on support strategies and become more confident in their role as a labor support person.

Investment: $105/couple

“I still don’t understand how I am going to get this baby out of my body!” -birthing people everywhere
Pushing can be the most dramatic phase of childbirth but often comes without instructions, even in long form childbirth classes (there is never enough time!).
This 2-hour class will help you stack the cards in your favour in order to reduce the length of time spent pushing, reduce the risk of tearing during delivery, and prepare you for postpartum pelvic floor recovery.
We will start with anatomy and walk you through the bony pelvis, pelvic floor muscles, fetal alignment, and breathing techniques so you can understand the physiology of pushing. You will practice pelvic floor contractions and relaxation, as well as various pushing positions to help train your body for the main event. Class is relevant and important for those planning a medicated or unmedicated birth!
What's Covered:
When: Sunday June 8th 9:30am - 11:30am
Where: Online from the comfort of your own home
Cost: $95 CAD/Couple
*Virtual classes are open to Canadian Residents only

Location:
Private classes can take place at your place of work, a rented studio space, or in your home. The space should be tidy and allow room for movement and full body extension. Babies are always welcome.

The term “Holding Space” is defined in Amy Wright Glenn’s book Holding Space ~ On Loving, Dying, and Letting Go as the practice of showing up with a compassionate presence to life as it arises, especially when it arises with difficulty and loss.
In any part of life, but especially in grief, we can all benefit from multiple circles of support. This consultation offers one approach to holding space wherein I listen and affirm your inner knowing/wisdom.
In this 50 min session I am committed to using every moment of our time together to offer undivided support as you share stories, express emotions, and make meaning of what is going on for you right now. This means I will do a lot of listening. At times there may even be quality moments of silence ~ and I welcome you to breathe through those times knowing I hold them in peace.
As you may be aware, there are many other approaches, including those that are more change-oriented in terms of offering therapeutic tools for transforming behaviors, addictions, and personal challenges. These may be more appropriate for you and I am happy to offer resources for you to consider in this instance.
Cost: $45 CAD for 50 mins
